How To Rank Your Business On Google Even If You Don't Have A Website
Back in the days people used to do traditional marketing, where they did TV ads, paper ads, or brochures.
But, come the internet, where they are told they need to get a website. And everybody goes out there, they get a website for their business. But that website is basically used as a brochure where they have their pictures and information on there.
But I am here today to tell you that you can use your website for way more than that. I am talking especially about turning your website into a sales machine where you can expect leads from the website on a regular basis.
So if this is something that you would like to implement into your business, Keep Reading…
In this article, I am going to show you how to turn your website, or your online brochure, into a sales machine, where you can expect that website to bring you leads on a regular basis.
To do that, the first thing you need to do is obviously get a website. We won’t talk much about that. If you don’t have a website, CLick here to find out how you can get a website
Now, let’s move on to the next step, which is to
Increase your website loading speed.
Before somebody can go on your website to see your designs, and see the services that you offer, you need to make sure that your website loads in under 3 seconds.
This has become one of the requirements from Google. If you want to be successful or have a good online performance, you need to make sure that your website stays under 3 seconds.
There are multiple reasons for that. Number one is, nowadays people are impatient. There are so many other websites for them to look at, if yours is slow, they are not going to stay on your website.
And a 100 millisecond delay when somebody visits your website can drop your conversion rate by 7%. In other terms, an ecommerce store that is making $100,000 per day can lose up to $2.5 million per year with that one second delay.
So you can understand why making sure your website loads in under 3 seconds is vital and very important for your website performance.
And third, 79% of people who buy online frequently reported that if they have a bad experience with a website, they will not return to that website to buy again.
So you and I can both agree that before you do anything else, the first thing that needs to be done on the website is making sure that the website loads in under 3 seconds.

Now that we got the first step out of the way, the second step now is to
Make Sure That Your Website is Beautiful, Professional and Responsive.
People who use social media these days, especially those who use dating apps, they will understand when I say, make a good first impression.
Your website design and layout will send a message about your business. If it is a great design, the person or the visitor will feel confident, even feel positive about the service that they’ll get from you.
But if your website is outdated and you don’t care about how it looks, it will also send a message about your business, except that message will be negative.
- Oh, and just so you know, 79% of website credibility comes from design.
- And 89% of consumers will shop with a competitor after a bad user experience.
So it is up to you to decide which message you want to send out there about your business.
And along the same line, let’s talk about
Responsiveness.
In the past couple years, mobile responsiveness has become the standard for any website that wants to have a good online performance.
And the reason behind that is, nowadays people mostly use their phones to browse online.
Have you seen somebody walking on the streets with a computer, browsing online? Rarely. But have you seen somebody walking on the streets, head down, on their phone? Yes, too many of them.
And this is basically why Google finally decided, since people spend so much time on their phone browsing online, they’re gonna make this a requirement.
Not only does every website have to have a desktop version or a laptop version, they also need to have a mobile, for tablet and smartphones.
And remember, if you want to have any chance at being successful online, you need to abide by Google’s rules.
And by the way, don’t clog the website with flashy buttons, pop ups and animations, just keep the website simple.
Remember, the simpler the website, the better it will perform. The simpler the user experience, the more profit you will make online.
Now that your website loads super fast, and you have a beautiful, professional and responsive design, what is the next step?
The next step is to
Provide crucial information.
Same as you do all the time, when you land on a website, you have questions that you need answers for.
So as a website owner, you have the first 10 to 30 seconds, when somebody lands on your website, to answer their questions… or they will unconsciously take the decision to leave your website.
For example, you are a concrete contractor. There are questions that people usually ask concrete contractors. You need to put yourself in your customer’s shoes and ask yourself the questions that they would ask you.
For example, they might ask you, do you offer stamped concrete, or concrete counters, concrete patios, and all the other services that a concrete contractor usually offers.
So you need to have a section on your website where you list out all the services that you offer.
While you are answering these questions, some other questions might come up, like, have you done similar jobs? And for that, you’ll need a section on your website where you list out all the previous projects that you’ve done, with pictures.
And while you are answering these questions, some other questions might come up, like, I wonder what other people are saying about them? And for that, you need a section on the website where you list out all the reviews that people have left for your business.
And as you keep answering questions, the more questions that you answer, the customer will feel more confident, and at the end, they might get in touch with you to require a service from you.
Now that your website loads fast, you have a beautiful, professional and responsive design, and you answer most of the questions that your customers have, now your potential customer might feel confident, and maybe even be thinking about getting in touch with you.
But what if they just leave and don’t connect with you? Or don’t leave a message? This is where the next step comes in.
You need to
Use lead capture.
Imagine you spent all that time and effort to make the website load super fast, you make it beautiful, responsive, professional, you answer most of the questions your customers might have, and only 10% of those who visited the website got in touch with you… and the other 90% just leave and never come back. What do you do?
This is where lead capture is important. It’s basically when you offer something to the customer, you capture their name and email address in return.
This practice is really important, especially if you want to maximize the results that you are getting from your website.
Because you are already investing your time and effort into making the website attractive to people, you might as well just capture the emails and names of those who have visited your website.
And if you would like to know how to implement those things into your business, Check out this article How to Install a Lead Capture on your website.
Now that you’re capturing your customer’s names and email addresses, how do you get in touch with them? And how do you do that, and still have time to run your business?
This is where the next step comes in.
Set up an email campaign.
Let’s say you’ve been collecting names and emails for 3 months. By now you should maybe have 600 contacts.
How do you stay in touch with all of them, and keep nurturing the relationship, and still have time to run your business? It’s too much, I know.
And this is where the email software comes in… where you basically set up the campaign once, and the software does all the rest.
When I say all the rest, I mean, when somebody lands on the website, the software captures the name and email address, and from that day on, every 3 days, or every week, or every month, however you set it up, the software will send out an email and nurtures the relationship with that customer while you on your end, you have the time and freedom to run your business.
And this way, you have a system in place. Your website loads really fast, you have a beautiful design, it’s professional, responsive, and you answer most of the questions that your customers would have. You capture the names and email addresses of those who didn’t want to connect with you, and you send them emails on a regular basis.
The only thing left to do is to
Drive traffic to the website.
You can drive it from anywhere… from facebook ads, Google ads, pinterest, from anywhere you can drive traffic, just bring the traffic and the system will do the rest.
If you do everything as I said in this video, you can expect, and I can guarantee it, 3 months from now, your website will be a whole different website. You will be able to expect leads from that website on a regular basis.
Now you have it! It was a pleasure having you with us. See you in the next one!
